Bringing a baby into the world is nothing less than life changing. Nearly a year of anticipation and suddenly you are faced with this little person that takes a place in your heart that you never knew existed. Those first few weeks fly by so fast and photographs of your little one become treasures forever.

When should I book

The best time to book is while you are still pregnant. We will make pre-booking date for the day your baby is due, when your baby is born and you are settled at home you can call/email to set the actual session date.

Newborns are best photographed during their first 14 days when they are still very sleepy and fall into deep sleeps.

If your baby is a little older between 2 weeks and a month, we can still take newborn stye photos and we can usually get some awake shots.

A retainer fee of $100 is required with the balance due on or before the session date.

I also will have you read and sign my contract along with a small questionnaire to help me get to know you a little.

Before the Session

Try to keep your baby awake before leaving for the session.

It is best to start with a full belly, so feeding them before you leave is best. Please make sure baby has a good burp before placing them in their car seat.

Dress baby in a button/zip down outfit so that I don't need to pull anything over their head.

Try to keep your baby's little nails from getting too long where they will scratch their face.

What to bring

Your diaper bag with diapers, wipes, soother (if they use one)

If you are not breast feeding, please bring extra bottles as sometime baby eats more than they usually would because their sleep is a little disrupted.

I have everything that will be needed for the photos included plenty of props, blankets wraps, headbands and cute little outfits.

During the Session

When you arrive the studio will be set up to start with some of the posed photos. If siblings will be included, I will have them join the photos as we go along.

If your child is not wanting to be in the photo, we will give them a little more time to get comfortable and familiar with me and the space.

The session can be quite long, it is a good idea to bring some things to do as well as a non messy snack and drink.

The room will be set to a warmer temperature so please dress yourself accordingly.

Sessions typically take up to 3 hours even with a sleepy baby. I work on baby's schedule and allow for plenty of time for feeding and changing.

Some babies don't want to sleep, that's okay! That's the perfect time to take some photos with mom and dad. Otherwise, I will take my time and go with the flow.

After the Session

A few days after the session I will send you a small sneak peek. The final gallery of beautifully retouched images will be delivered 2-3 weeks afterward.

I offer appointments for you to come back to the studio for ordering prints and albums.

I truly believe that these photos should be printed and displayed instead of just saved on a computer.
